Moving forward? Not this week

The Sydney Morning Herald says LABOR'S election slogan is moving forward but the latest Herald/Nielsen poll shows it is spinning its wheels. Saying the most recent poll with the ALP trailing 49 per cent to 51 per cent is not a statistically significant change since the last 52-48 poll. Read their analysis here. Meanwhile, The Australian reports the results in two key marginals Dawson in North Queensland and Lindsay in Sydney's west here.

Its a Tax, not a tax cut Ms Gillard
The attempt over the weekend to spin the Carbon Tax as a 'tax cut' is just more of the spin we can expect to see from the Government as it tries to impose its Carbon Tax without a mandate and without popular support. The Australian late today reports that none of the impacts of the Carbon Tax or the so-called tax cuts will form part of the Budget or the proposed Summit. This is, of course ridiculous with the Budget presuming to portray revenues and expenditures over the four year forward estimates.
