Wayne Swan refuses to rule out tax on petrol as Julia Gillard backflips on carbon levy

TREASURER Wayne Swan has refused to rule a petrol tax in or out of the Federal Government's proposed carbon tax. Mr Swan said it was inappropriate for people to suggest anything was included or excluded from the tax, given that it was still being formulated. See the AAP story reprinted in the Courier Mail.
